This class is necessary to satisfy the NEW YORK STATE CONCEALED CARRY FIREARM SAFETY Training requirements.
Please bring drinks, snacks, and lunch, as the schedule will extend the day for a lunch break. The class can order lunch to be delivered.

NYS Concealed Carry Firearm Safety Training Course
This class is a requirement to obtain a concealed carry permit in New York State. The curriculum follows the minimum standards for the New York State Concealed Carry Firearm Safety Training set by the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services and the State Police as of August 23, 2022. Our instructors have Duly Authorized Instructors as defined in the New York State Penal Law § 265.00(19) (NYS DCJS Firearm Instructor and NRA Pistol Instructor). NYPD, NCPD, and SCPD have accepted certificates of completion. Some of the topics we will cover will be:
- Holster selection
- Clothing
- Everyday carry items
- Draw
- Different shooting positions
REQUIREMENTS:
- Note-taking material (notepad and pen or electronic tablet)
- Clothing that can bear the weight of a holster and firearm
- Sturdy belt to affix holster (optional)
- Eye and hearing protection (provided)
The course includes the live-fire training equipment (Non-Lethal Training pistol and ammunition) necessary to demonstrate proficiency by successfully completing a live-fire assessment.
